Power Misused in Political Arrest

Police led by Rao Anwar raided his residence without a warrant, handcuffing him in front of women and without female officers present. Despite being a sitting opposition leader, he was forcefully removed. Rao Anwar was subsequently suspended for failing to follow due process, and Khawaja Izhar was released within hours.

Armed Attack

Targeted in Deadly Eid Attack

Gunmen disguised as police officers opened fire in the Buffer Zone as he greeted constituents after Eid-ul-Adha prayers. He and his two sons survived, but a security guard and a child were killed. Four others were wounded in the coordinated militant assault.

Explosive Attack

Blast Strikes Amid Public Gathering

A cracker hurled by motorcycle-riding assailants struck an MQM-P Mehfil-e-Milad in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, where he was seated near the stage. He narrowly escaped unharmed. Six attendees were injured, some critically, and a stampede broke out as crowds fled.

Road Accident

Injured in Devastating Road Crash

His vehicle crashed on Karachi's Super Highway, leaving him with serious head and back injuries. One guard was reported in critical condition. He survived and recovered under close medical supervision following the life-threatening incident.
